Christian Liturgical Artist

In our Western contemporaneous culture, concepts such as aesthetics and religion do not necessarily go together, especially when it comes to an artist. This is why I started my long search, first studying art and architecture, to finally discover the Icon tradition with all the theological and spiritual context of the Orthodox Church.

Guided by my Master, the Dutch architect and iconographer Bernard Frinking I started my long experience in Icon writing, first in wooden boards and later on frescoes and Stained-glass Windows. In 1990, the Orthodox Monsignor Stephanov of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Tonsured me with the Canonical Approval to write and teach Iconography.

With the years I have extended my experience designing mosaics and Stained-glass Windows. I have had opportunity to accomplish works in monasteries and churches, both Catholic and Orthodox. I have dictated seminars and done workshops in France, Spain and my native Chile.
